The famous American chain Hard Rock Cafe operates its Prague branch in the beautiful U Rotta building. The concept combines American cuisine with rock music. Every evening, there are live performances, mostly by rock bands, and the interior is adorned with guitars from legendary musicians. The menu focuses primarily on burgers, with the „Legendary Burger“ as the flagship dish, made with beef, cheddar cheese, roasted onions, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes.

The Fat Cat restaurant on Wenceslas Square offers a burger menu. From classic variations to bolder combinations, such as the spicy Jalapeños burger with crispy bacon and chipotle mayo, or the curry wurst burger. You can wash down your burger with one of up to eight beers on tap. In addition to Fat Cat’s own beer, the rotating selection also includes beers and beer specials from local small and medium-sized breweries.

The shop and butcher Naše Maso on Dlouhá Street, operated by the Ambiente group and led by renowned master butcher František Kšána, offers a beef burger in its bistro. The burger is only minimally seasoned to let the flavor of the aged meat shine. In addition to the burger, you can also enjoy steak tartare, delicious meatloaf, sausages, and other meat products.
If the meat filling isn’t ground but rather sliced or chopped, we call it a sandwich instead of a burger. Ground beef should ideally be prepared so that it remains pink and juicy in the center. The most flavorful beef burger usually comes from fattier cuts, as fat enhances the taste. Besides beef, lamb, chicken, fish, turkey, and mushroom burgers are also common. However, there are no limits to the creativity of burger fillings, and the current trend is to mix ingredients from various cuisines, such as Asian Fusion. Some fillings, like foie gras, even make burgers suitable for fine dining establishments.
